Independence Day Celebration at MorningStar

It’s time for MorningStar’s grand—and kid-friendly—Independence Day celebration! You can enjoy 4th of July fun without traveling across town—or keep the kids out late. Even better, because our event is the Saturday before Independence Day, you can still enjoy one of the many events we’ve listed above.

Bring the kiddos in the wagon. Ride your bike with the neighbors. Or hop in the car for a quick ride to see all your friends. The celebration begins on Saturday, June 30th, at 12:30 pm. We’ll kick things off with a patriotic parade featuring residents and their kids, friends from across the city, pets, bikes, wagons, and strollers all adorned with the best patriotic décor. The parade begins in the MorningStar amenity complex parking lot, then ambles down Ridgeview Court and back.

We’ll have a patriotic costume contest, with a $50 gift card for the winner! And don’t worry about keeping your kids entertained. We’ll have a variety of activities that are great for all ages—including grown-up kids who want to have a little fun of their own! Highlights of this fun day will include:

  • Scrumptious food catered by Southside Market
  • Face painting
  • Music
  • Kona Ice snow cones
  • A balloon artist

New to the MorningStar community? This is a great chance to meet your neighbors, help your kids make new friends, and see all that makes MorningStar great. We’re proud of this little community we’ve built, and we can’t wait to see everyone.
