MorningStar welcomed a crowd of community members and guests to its June 30, 2018, Independence Day celebration. Our family-friendly event hosted children of all ages, from newborns to adolescents, their parents, extended family and friends. Everyone felt welcome, and the mood was festive.
MorningStar’s July 4th Celebration
One of the things we cherish most about life in MorningStar is that we are a true community. People know their neighbors. They celebrate one another’s wins and losses, tragedies and triumphs. So when we come together to celebrate, it’s like getting together with extended family. That community warmth was on full display at our celebration. After all, community is one of the things that makes this country great.
We love supporting local businesses, and had a wide range of vendors. They included:
- Kona Ice
- Southside Market catered brisket sandwiches, sausage wraps, chips, tea, and water
- Pretty Faces, face painting
- DJ Kenny
- Positive Image Photography
- Austin Pro Video
The event was fun for the whole family, with a great roundup of activities, relaxation poolside, and entertainment under the event pavilion. Our homeowners association conducted a costume contest. Cookie lovers of all ages participated in our patriotic cookie decorating table and enjoyed whimsical face painting.
Behind the Scenes at MorningStar
We are committed to creating excellent events that seem effortless, but a lot goes on behind the scenes. Everything was decked out in patriotic décor, including Independence Day banners, patriotic balloons, a wide range of necklaces, hats, horns, and other wearable goodies, and a sea of mini US flags along the perimeter of the Amenity Center. We had a USA letter sign along Ridgeview Court. It was hard to miss the event, thanks in part our event team and helpful residents.
We look forward to our next event where we can help create even more wonderful MorningStar memories. If you are interested in getting involved in an event committee or any other community committees, please contact Cassandra with the HOA.
